Mr Somkiat was Managing Director of Changi Airport Planners and Engineers (CAPE) until 17 Aug this year. He was also integral in the planning and design of Changi Airport. He passed away in Singapore on 18 November, 2015.
Changi Airport Group's Chairman, Mr Liew Mun Leong, wrote in a note on Facebook remembering him:
